I received yesterday a MIDI channel mixer, bought on AliExpress, which is fully configurable via MIDI CC and –incredibly– it comes with 8 rotary encoders, not pots.
After some tests this afternoon I can declare that it is recognised and can be assigned to control almost any parameter on Zynthian. Is fast, precise, tiny (25,5x12x2,5cm - 10.1x4.7x0.9in), and have a good aspect.
AN ADDON WITH SURPRISE: GETTING TACTILE ON 7" SCREEN AGAIN
I have had a major surprise using it.
My DIY Zynthian based on a 7" screen, not supported by project, lost some time ago the tactile ability . I read in some place that it was possible to disconnect and reconnect –USB to screen– to bypass this, which I tested and worked, though It was an umconfortable solution for me.
But today, after some time playing with the new toy, suddenly discovered that tactile of screen, was working flawlessly again!
So my first impulse was to share my “discovering” for if any tech-guy could find a clue, and those looking for a cheap tool to implement a wider flexibility to their Zynthian, could benefit.
There are a lot of shops selling it right now, it seems the tech-star of the year. So it is not difficult to find it. Anyhow, at the end, goes a link
