Oram update on RPi 5 SegFault: /dev/gpiochip4

I built a Zynthian Mini V2 last year with a Raspberry Pi 5, running Oram 2505.1.
This week, I used the Update Software button in the webGUI, and after a lengthy process it completed updating to Oram 2601.1.

Now, after a reboot I see the SegFault error screen.

When I run /zynthian/zynthian-sys/sbin/zynthian.sh, here’s the error that’s revealed:

ZynCore->gpiod_init_callbacks(): Can't open RPI's GPIO chip: /dev/gpiochip4 Fatal Python error: Segmentation fault

/dev/gpiochip4 looks to be a link to /dev/gpiochip0, which doesn’t exist.

I’m wondering if something changed in the update that re-enumerated the gpiochip devices for the Pi 5?

And are there any suggestions for how I can fix it? Changing that link doesn’t work because it’s reset after a reboot.

Updating an old image like yours is always risky. We only test updates between consecutive versions.

Try downloading and installing the latest image from scratch. Well, indeed, you could jump to Vangelis. The vangelis stable release is almost ready.
