Pi zero 2 w boot loop

Can anyone whos gotten zynthian running on a zero 2 w help me sort out this issue im having?

I flashed the latest stable image to a 32gb verbatim micro sd. I can get it to boot, but all i get is a few seconds with a black screen on power up, then the zynthian logo, a quick flash of a terminal asking for login info and then back to the beginning.

Have seen threads where other people sort out similar issues, but dont know how to get to the web config as i have no means of connecting ethernet to the zero.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @jlam9801. Welcome to zynthianland and all its wonders.

You are going to have significant challenges getting this working. We don’t officiallly support Pi Zero and without network connection it will be tricky configuring it to know what hardware it does and does not have. Zynthian depends on a working sound subsystem and will not start without it. (We may improve this in future to start up and complain rather than simply refuse to start.) You are going to have to go deep into the file system and make some manual config changes. Unfortunately, I don’t have the resources (or enthusiasm) to investigate this. Maybe there is someone else with the appropriate resources, time and enthusiasm to investigate.

Of course we would be glad to hear of your success.

Thank you for the response, I kind of figured i was on my own with this one lol.

Im comfortable diving into the file system to make manual config changes, just hadnt done so as of yet.

Going to try usb tethering via my phone as a means to establish networking first. Will let everyone know if it gets me anywhere
