Hi together,
I switched my Pi in my ZynthianV3 pro to a Pi4. Only my hifiberry pro won’t work. When is switch to the normal hifiberry I can hear sound but it’s really crappy. If I switch back to pro in the webconfig anything works but I get no sound 
Any idea ?

Have you used the same SSDon the two different pi’s?
Perhaps burn a new ssd image and try with that.
No the sd card was only in the Pi4 (I used an usb audio card before) and now I got the hifiberry (from my V3 set) and I try to get it into my V3 set (in never used the pi3 I will use it for other purposes) … what is strange that I get a sound if I switch to the normal dac in the webconfig but it’s noisy … IF I switch to dac pro everything seems normal but I get no sound.

Now I tried a new image and it’s the same 
If I use the Dac+ ADC pro setting in the webconfig Menü I get no sound. If I change the setting to Dac+ ADC I hear noise. Everything else seems to be fine.
Anyone a tip which image to use ? Or how can I test if the berry is not damaged ? The two red leds on the Hi-Fi berry are on.

If you’ve got webconfthen things are definitely working. Do you get anything on the ui log in webconf as it starts? Can you log on with an ssh connection?
Does audio test work?
Can you get an ssh terminal? Try aplay -l this should display details of the card at least it does on my pi4 adc pro
So it does seem that the card is there… And alive.
Can you run alsamixer?
That’s the crazy thing everything seems to works but no sound on the rca jacks. And yes i checked the cable and all that stuff 
But the card did work with a pi3? But it does work when you select hifiberry adc… Can you show the advanced settings from audio including all the options…? You can use zoom on chrome to squeeze it all onto one screen.
What does i2cdetect - y 1 display…?

No … I ordered an official V3 Kit and I had already an Pi4 with an wavshare Display and now I try to fit it together and the Pi3 is in its original packaging and never used now I got the Pi4 the ADC Pro and the V3 display and encoders to try … I didn’t need the midi ports so I didn’t connect the midi Modul in the V3 kit. And all seems good so far but no sound …
I already used an zynthian with my Pi4 and the wave share display and only USB Midi and USB Sound and it worked well so far … but I love the encoders and want a better latency that what I thought 
have look with alsamixer if something isn’t disabled/muted.
The midi ports shouldn’t effect all this. One thing you can to is burn an ssd with raspbian on it and add a mouse and keyboard and see if it works with the card. That does at least test the card if only via alsa.
journal -u zynyhian should show you any problems with the zynyhian service when it starts. Fire up to separate ssh shells type journalctl - f in one and in the other type systemctl stop zynyhian… Then watch the journalctl window whilst typing systemctl start zynyhian you should see problems there if the pi is aware of them.
The raspbian test should let you play any old bit of audio that raspbian can see…
alsamixer can also play tricks so that may be worth a look
Hmmmm confusing. Im going for a cup of tea. Basically you want to be sure the card is OK. Get it to play using alsa then try with jack… Everything looks OK from the i2c side…
