Pianoteq 8.4.3 on Oram 5.1 (RPi5 8GB) losing NOTE_ON/OFF, JACK config locked

I’m running Pianoteq 8.4.3 on ZynthianOS Oram 5.1 with a Raspberry Pi 5 Model B Rev 1.0 (8 GB RAM) and HiFiBerry audio card. I’m still getting lost NOTE_ON and NOTE_OFF events — some notes don’t play at all, others get stuck. This happens even when CPU load isn’t high.

There’s also a JACK configuration issue. In Custom Kit it shows -p 64, but any edits are lost after reboot, so it can’t actually be changed. In Kit V5 (the only usable one for RPi5) JACK runs at -p 512, but it’s completely fixed and can’t be configured, and Pianoteq still loses notes.

I tried MIDI Filter Rules (IGNORE CC#88, IGNORE KP, IGNORE CP) but the problem persists.

Has anyone got proven JACK settings or other workarounds for Pianoteq on Oram 5.1 with RPi5 (8 GB RAM)?

Still no reply — but I really need to get this solved. Pianoteq is essential for me, and with these lost NOTE_ON/OFF events it’s simply unusable right now.

Could someone please confirm whether there’s any solution, or if this is a Zynthian bug or limitation that currently has no fix?

Hi @petr! There have been no reported issues with Pianoteq on a V5 with RPi5. Will you please post a screengrab of your webconf dashboard which will show us the versions of zynthian software modules in use? Have you done all required updates? (Update available is indicated by a broken circlular arrow in top right corner of the main UI.) Do you have the issue with other engines?

Hi @petr !
You should’t be using V5 kit config unless you have a kit V5. When using custom hardware you have to configure all your subsystems from scratch.

I have the CUSTOM configuration and I have no problems with Pianoteq.
