Just found the 9.1.1 at modartt and installed.
Runs, but no jack audio… “jack has stopped working”
Tried to restart, same symptom.
UI-Log:

Anyone else?

what happens if you go back to 9.1?
works again
Then tomorrow I’ll try and let you know
Don’t worry about that warning. Sometimes PT doesn’t fully shutdown cleanly and we log when we detect this but it is not a big problem.
Modartt have changed the format of their configuration file. Zynthian modifies this to fit the zynthian architecture and it looks like this customisation is breaking the jack configuration (which is one of the parts of the file format that has changed). I am looking at it…
Yikes!!! They have made substantial changes to this supposedly minor release (0.0.1). The option to not route audio is removed. Jack MIDI seems to have been removed. The name of the jack client has changed. This is a lot of change and my initial attempt to fix this has failed. @jofemodo could you talk to Modartt to see if there is a solution for us? As it stands, 9.1.1 is completely incompatible with zynthian.
[Edit] I confirm that 9.1.0 does not have this issue so the major changes to the sub-minor release are between 9.1.0 and 9.1.1. Grrrr!
[Edit] I got zynthian talking to PT but it may not be sufficiently robust. It involves creating a ALSA/JACK MIDI bridge (we could use MIDI Through but a dedicated link may be better) and changing the configuration of JACK, then manual routing / derouting of the audio. I have not written code for this because it feels rather flaky and I would prefer a more robust solution from Modartt.
May I ask what the reason is to use the standalone version instead of the provided arm64 lv2 version?
The LV2 has some limitations. We used to offer both but that was confusing and added to the support overhead so we disabled the LV2 option.
From Julien (Pianoteq);
Hi José,
It is a mistake, it seems I have committed some debug code that disabled jack output, sorry for that !
I have update v911, now jack should be back.
Cheers,
Julien
So we don’t need to worry about this. Simply download the latest version.
Regards,
Just redownloaded the v9.11 and can confirm that it works now.
THX!
They didn’t change version number but they simply changed the file silently.
Not ideal, but it works.
I had this issue with Vangelis today reflashed:
Is there another way to add fxb presets i.e. by Filezilla?
Definitely! (Using shh/winscp/internal file browser)
Or the filebrowser in webconf?
Exactly, I meant that by “internal file browser”. I didn’t try it though and use winscp, but it should work as well.
