I would be concerned about Dupont cables becoming dislodged. The IDC connector has been good physical integrity.

I know this might be overkill but i would like my pi to be actively cooled because spain, summer and tiny practice rooms without AC

I think if you made a multiple pin header from dupont it might be good enough
