Prophet Emulation?

Is there a Prophet emulation out?
or someone got good prophet sf2?

The obx for ob heim is tough.but I always have problems in playback.
no sound for milliseconds I could hear.
any clue what to do?
set buffers higher?

If you’re using the OB-Xd on a pi3 then go to the voices parameter and turn it down to about 75-80. All 8 voices is a bit much.

Which prophet were you hoping to emulate?

one up.
dosnt matter.
xl would be nice.

I have made my research and the only Free Software implementation i could find is the Bristol, that is a dead project. I remember to have tested this software some years ago but my impression is that it didn’t get a decent sound (although GUIs were quite good!).

BTW, i discovered that one of the best Prophet emulator plugins ever, the Vector Sector, from General Vibe, is now defunct and the source code is “lost”.

I’ve browsed the Internet Archive:

General Vibe

and finally traced back the company register, in California:

https://businesssearch.sos.ca.gov/Document/RetrievePDF?Id=200505310194-492614

The company is dead, but i could get the name of the person who registered the company:

I’m trying to contact Joshua and ask about the source code. If it’s available, perhaps we could negotiate with him. I’m thinking in something like a crowdfounding campaign to rescue this little jewel make it free.

Too crazy?
