I accidentally (…stupidly) overwrited a snapshot of a track I was working on. I have a previous version but there’s a lot of difference and I really liked how it was sounding. I know it’s a desperate attempt but is there a way to recover the snapshot? Maybe a hidden place where the snapshots are magically saved every day in the SD card? If we don’t have such a feature I suggest creating it!

Each time you overwrite an existing snapshot file, a backup copy is created. Backups can also be restored at any time, which can avoid much suffering. When you feel the panic, remember that zynthian stores the full save history for all snapshots!
I don’t know more about it, but it sounds promising, and if you look in the directory where the snapshots are saved perhaps you’ll find what you’re looking for…

You can access the backup copies from the UI, in the snapshot submenú.
