Had a look at the CM4 pinout… No I2S?! Would mean using a PCIe audio sub-system if it were to be used in a new slim Zynth…

Well, the pinout (as from https://datasheets.raspberrypi.org/cm4/cm4-datasheet.pdf page 14) doesn’t label GPIO 18, 19, 20, 21 as i2s interface. I think they are the same as on the RPI4b (as from https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/bcm2711/rpi_DATA_2711_1p0_preliminary.pdf page 9).

These pins are activated as i2s interface using /boot/config.txt
