Saving engine presets?

,

Is there a guide somewhere describing how to save a preset in an engine and make it appear in the Zynthian UI?

I have seen some topics dated 2021. Back then it seemed rather complicated. Maybe something has happened (or been described) since then?

In my case I need a Surge XT preset where MPE is enabled.

I once wrote a procedure for uploading a preset for Vital. In the case of SURGE XT, it should be similar.

Interesting. I will give it a try.

you must bold push any preset in the preset screen to access the preset options

If you save a preset, as described by @jofemodo (bold select in the preset menu) then the MPE state is saved to and recalled from your custom preset but the MPE state is not changed if you recall any of the factory presets, i.e. if you recall a factory preset, MPE state remains unchanged but if you recall a (zynthian) user saved preset then MPE is set to the state when the preset was saved.

I would recommend creating a new bank for your presets then saving any existing ones you want to use, with MPE set to the required state, storing them in your performance bank.
