SooperLooper learning

I am trying to learn SooperLooper.
When I choose sync2clock how can I start recording?
Pressing the single pedal the loop stays in 00.0/0.00 rec starting…

you need the internal clock to be running, either, in vangelis, by means of the tempo screen, and/or in oram by having a sequence running.

understood !!!
I chosen Metronome Mode: ON and metronome is in the loop. How to avoid it?
I tought to add a C*Click Metronome chain and add Sooperlooper on chain I want to loop but the tho metronomes are synced but not overlapped. I guess it could be better in other way
Then I chosen Metronome Mode: INTRO and metronome is not in the loop. Then I have to study TEMPO screen and Metronome Modes, but I don’t know where…

You can play an empty sequence or you can select silent mode for metronome. (Yes, there was a reason for a silent metronome!!!)

is it possible to load a recorded loop in SooperLooper?

Yes, you can load a wav file into the active loop.

But (if nothing has changed of late) the file chooser does not offer sooperlooper loops, since they are in another folder than capture.

Maybe a feature request would be in place, perhaps also taking into account another possible feature: being able to select sooperlooper loops in clippy.

In TEMPO screen could you explain the differences between different Metronome Modes:

Metronome Mode OFF: metronome disabled
Metronome Mode AUTO: ???
Metronome Mode ON: metronome abled
Metronome Mode INTRO: ???
Metronome Mode NO ACCENT: metronome abled with, no tone difference between steps of a measure

If you set Metronome Mode ON (it helps the loop creation), will the metronome be recorded in loop?

Assuming Vangelis here, the metronome modes are explained in the contextual help (Bold Alt on v5, cannot remember whether there was a solution for v4 yet…).

When you hear a metronome, and sooperlooper is on the main chain, it will record this.

When you hear a metronome, and some mic connected to sooperlooper picks it up, it will record this too  .

Dare I ask what keeps you from just trying?

ok, I will check on my Touch only with V5 Onscreen Buttons

Just created a Feature Request to be able to route the metronome elsewhere.

The metronome is only recorded to SooperLooper if you put SL in main chain, post-fader. You could create a dedicated mixbus chain for SooperLooper.

Or move your sooperlooper instance to a pre-fader position
