I am on a relatively new IMAC, OS catalina, and am using Finale 26/2
When I hit a key on the carbon 49, it take about a second to sound. This slow response
is new. I have reinstated both sides of the power cord, and have restarted the computer.
Any ideas on how to get a quick, normal response? Thanks Jay

I have an affiliation with Catalinas since my father built a flying scale model which took a very long time with various iterations of landing gear control, etc. I designed some of the electronics that went into it. I sadly crashed on its maiden flight.
That was an ambitious project: the shapes aren’t really straightforwards (and these big bulbs close to the tail, omg!), bi motor, landing gear and so on.

You can’t send a software patch to the electronics whilst it is flying
