I have this Soundblaster sound card that I bought many years ago to decrypt weather satellite signals with my radios.
With aplay -l it is seen and called Pro…

These are the settings I put on WebConf… but it doesn’t work

Does zynthian start with no audio input? Does zynthian start with no audio output? Does zynthian not start with errors in the log?
Thanks @riban…it stops on the boot screen with ERROR Audio/Midi
I was about to write to you but I received a phone call and I wasted time… sorry.
Try each of these settings,one at a time;
hw:1,0
hw:1,1
There are 2 devices on the sound blaster. We need to see if either works.
I confirm that the money we spent on your education was well spent
… With hw:1.1 it works perfectly… with hw:1.0 no
Cool! Okay, you should be able to use hw:Pro,1. Try it please.
Work perfectly!!! Thanks @riban
I am curious @Lanfranco , can you use the weather signals and turn it into sounds? Weather mod Matrix
?
Hi, the “sound” of digital (Meteosat) is practically unheard… it’s a very low-volume white noise-like hiss. The old APT weather satellites, on the other hand, used a signal similar to old fax machines, a whistling sound that repeats at the same pitch… Nothing as fascinating as Matrix. Below is a video of reception from a NOAA weather satellite.
You have to skip ahead a bit in the video until NOAA comes into hearing range.
Fascinating, thanks for sharing.
