Stream dock mirabox

I found as 2nd hand this item:

before buy it I ask you if it is possible and easy to configure for Zynthian?

I was looking at something similar recently. First thing to consider is that this is a lower cost copy of the Elgato Stream Deck. The MiraBox costs about $50 new, compared with Stream Deck at $80. Support for a multitude of devices is challenging so my first consideration was to support the Stream Deck… but I then realised I couldn’t justify the cost.

But what is it? It presents as a USB HID device which can be configured to send key codes. There may be a mechanism of updating its display but quite often this is not published or exposed to the user as an open API and hence it is challenging to update the device’s display, e.g. button icons. There is usually an app (which may only run on Windows) to create static configurations and it may depend on a service (which may only run on Windows) to provide a dynamic interface.

I decided to save my money!

Ok, thanks Brian, so I have to resist to my GAS.

It might be a fun project, but you would need to spend the time and effort on it without much assistance because few (if any) of us have one.

There’s this open source library to work with this device that you may find helpful.
