I think that I found a problem when using the clone function in the latest STABLE. If the midi device (on channel 1) is set to MULTI and I set simple standard cloning on channel 1 to channel 2, the CC64 sustain does not work on channel two. Midi-cc is simply not cloned. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Of course, everything works with the OMNI and ACTI settings, but I need the MULTI setting in my set and snapshots. Please check if anyone can reproduce this.
By the way, will the cloning option really be removed eventually? Do the new chain manager solutions take into account situations when for example one MIDI device can send MIDI messages on several MIDI channels and be set in the MULTI mode at the same time? In this case, cloning is needed to make layering or to split the keyboard.
Thanx
Adam
Hi @ejdzi!
I can confirm that I can reproduce this issue. I don’t think we are going to rush to fix it (although @jofemodo may have other ideas) because this functionality changes in the next release. Chain manager will allow each chain to be assigned any MIDI channel so I believe you will be able to do what you want without cloning. I just tested this workflow on Stable (which produces the issue you describe) and Chain Manager which works fine in multitimbral mode with the sustain pedal operating all chains assinged to the keyboard’s MIDI channel.

Thank you for this informations. So, until the next release I should find a workaround that will work for me. I will try
