Sustain pedal dropping usb midi

I’ve been playing around with newly built official v5.1 with latest stable Oram and enjoying many aspects so far.
However I have encountered an issue preventing the use of 5.1 in live setting:
Use of sustain pedal occasionally drops whole midi controller out. Sometimes it reconnects after 10-15 secs/pressing keys but sometimes unplug- replug is required. I have not noticed any drop outs when not using sustain.

I am using cheap chinese piano, thomann sp-320 which is recognised as general usb midi device. Sustain pedal is connected to the keyboard with 6.3mm jack.
It has been completely trouble free with my previous zynthian, a headless raspi4b with iqaudio dac.

Engines tested all with same issue:
-Mda e piano
-Mda piano
-fluidsynth
-surge xt, ao should not be engine spesific.

I tested with only one chain and tried to learn the sustain with channel assignment and without (one and 2 presses of encoder) and no luck.

Any ideas to test for cure?

Didn’t really find a cure/cause but was able to circumvent the problem using the sustain through 5-pin midi keyboard and learning it to synths played by the usb-midi device.
