I propose a universal law that says:
Each type of musical instrument cannot remain unused for more than 2 days… In this case it must be sold (better given as a gift) to those who make good use of it.

I know, what you mean. I saw a tangerine dream concert sometimes in the 80s.and without the moog modular it had none o the majesty of their previous gigs.
The cs80 just oozed power, and a synclavier looked magnificent in a studio, and in a world of punk, which didn’t really float my boat, Keith Emerson, a gx1 and Montreal stadium simply looked as cool as fnck.
Many of these machines date from the early days of video, so are inextricably linked with imagery as much as sound, but I think Pete has a point and ultimately it is the sound that should be the ultimate guide.
