How about the Pi5 power button? (Or is that what you both mean by “reset button”?)
It’s the same.
So, use Jack instead of DIN for MIDI in order to save space for additional external HDMI connection and a power button, maybe?
Thank you for the comprehensive reply.
For things I’ve found right (over the last couple of months since I discovered the project):
I came looking for something to play back samples for a “hardware live set” I’m putting together, as an alternative for the 1010Music BlackBox.
I found (what I thought was) a sound module and built one with a pi4 + rpi 7" screen + hifiberry dac+ & featherwing midi.
I realised it could and made it run the DSP56300 synths on a pi5.
And now with the proper kit housing that pi5, I’ve discovered that it can also be something like Ableton Live in a portable box, that is also really well designed
My background is Music Technology, Engineering and Linux (as a day job as well as a hobby), so basically this is actually a really exciting project for me to be able bring all of those fields together. So I hope to be able to contribute more in the future.
Yes. It’s probable in a next version.

17 posts were split to a new topic: Bizarre issues with zynthian V5.1
Playing around some more, I was loading up some of the snapshots that come with zynthian (like the introducing v5 one) and after a while everything freezes. I did see the error 139 once again too when playing something in one of the defaults, so it’s not just pianoteq.
I agree it seems like a hardware issue as it is intermittent and hard to reproduce. I would take the pi out and try it with my other setup but I don’t have a 5w/5amp power supply for it.
Maybe the button pad can be made to light up earlier?
It could be done, of course. Everything is possible
And nothing is ever really finished.
Hello, I received the wrong parcel.
It contained the order SO12901.
It only contained one board and one EU power supply.
There is a different name on the invoice that was in the parcel. What should I do?
My order was SO12859.
It should contain the complete synth kit with Zynthian KIT V5.1 (EUROPE, Raspberry Pi 5 - 8GB).
I have sent an email but have not received a reply.
Greetings Ron
You have mine and I have your package, I assume if we get sent UPS delivery labels the mistake can easily corrected
Hi @highsiderr and @chrismat !
We are trying to manage the picking + shipping from your location to Christopher’s home and the reverse.
Excuse the inconveniences! Really! Too many packages in too little time
Regards!
Mistakes happen, no problem we are all only human.
Would certainly be the easiest and quickest way to swap the parcels.
I’m already looking forward to making music with the Zynthian V5.
Have a nice evening everyone !
Too many packages…That’s a good problem to have.
Hi @jofemodo do you have an update as how you want to proceed with the redistribution of highsiderr’s package. I’m in the start blocks ready to sprint to UPS, @highsiderr I’m sorry for the delay.
What is the problem? Can I do something to help with the process?
I thought everything was solved. You ship the package one to the other.
We have refunded the shipping costs from the shop to compensate for the inconveniences.
Regards
We have just clarified this on the phone.
My parcel will be travelling to me tomorrow.
Chrismat’s parcel is already on its way to him.
Everything will be fine.
