It would be nice to have a timer feature for the audio recorder.
This way it could be possible to record audio sources for a while, then save the file and (optional) shutdown the zynthian. A possible task is recording from a web radio overnight to listen to the content later. It would also be nice to have a recording status line with a clock of how much material has been recorded actually. This is useful for creating individual mixes of defined lengths.

it’s not related to a problem. It’s more like an enhancement of usability.
The timer enables recording of sound sources while not being available to start and / or stop the recording. The source can be an internet radio stream or a jam session or something, that cannot be interrupted by a physical person.
The second feature, the record duration clock, enables to create recordings of a defined length while watching the clock counting. Different sound sources can play as long as the recording time is less or equal to the desired one. Possible situation: Creating a mix tape or background music playback source.
