Hello Zynthian community. So, recently I’ve discovered that in webconf I could just open “engines” menu and activate extra new instruments and effects…which I greedily did, because there were so many interesting ones that I couldn’t resist.
But the disappointment came when I discovered that some of them just didn’t appear in Zynthian when I tried to add chains…
Particularly, I wanted to try some midi effects, - in webconf the midi tool tab says there are 64 plugins, but Zynthian only shows two arpeggiator devices.
Could anyone explain if this is to be expected? Are those extra plugins proprietary and require payment? Or are they incompatible with new OS ( mine is 2504, I think) ?
Would be nice to have some user guide related to using engines, by the way.
By the way, since this will save others ’ nerves in the future …
In case I’m puzzled by something in the user guide, or the section in it isn’t available ( like, for instance, a section about midi cc in chain options) where should I ask questions? I mean, should I just start a new topic, or look for similar topics, and ask my question there? Or is there some special place for that purpose beside this forum?
Various people are able to edit the wiki. But perhaps we would benefit from some mechanism that would allow feature requests for the documentation… @jofemodo ?
