Track without soundfont after restart

Hello everyone, how are you?

I managed to get my Zynthian running last Friday, and I’m really impressed with it! However, I’m facing an issue, and I’m not sure if it’s something I’m doing wrong or if it’s related to the system.

I loaded some sf2 files that I used to use in AEVO, and everything worked perfectly—I can use them without any problems. The issue happens when I turn off and on the Zynthian again. It loads the tracks, but the some sf2 files aren’t reloaded, only the name appears in the FluidSynth track. I had the same issue with an sf2 (warmpad) loaded from the Zynthian’s own presets.

I’m using a Raspberry Pi 5 with 8 GB of RAM, a DAC PCM5102, and a Sandisk Extreme Pro 64 GB SD card. Oh, and yes, I built my Zynthian in a lunchbox! (lol)

The image I’m using is the oram latest stable one from September 25th.

For shutting down, I use the admin menu and choose power off.

Does anyone know what might be happening?

Hi @seiler.emerson!

Nice lunchbox! :grinning: Just to be sure, your picture shows all chains muted. You are unmuting to play?

thanks! The intention is to integrate zynthian into the keyboard case.

As for the changed tracks, it was intentional, I’m trying things and I changed them. In this example, the tracks with the problem would be 4 and 5.

In one of the tests, after restarting the device, I noticed the sound of some tracks had changed, it should be timbre X, the name corresponds to the correct timbre, but the sound is Y. However, I was unable to identify a pattern to report accurately.

Would there be operating logs to facilitate tracking?

Is the fault consistent? Does it always return with the same, wrong sounds? You can do manual testing without rebooting by saving a snapshot, Remove All, then restore snapshot. If you can reproduce then, download the snapshot using webconf LIBRARY->Snapshots and attach it to an issue report in github. (Use webconf button to create a new issue so that the proper template and system data gets created.)

You can look at the live logs in webconf INTERFACE->UI Log.

Hi @riban , I started using snapshots and so far I haven’t had the problem anymore. If it happens, I’ll come back with more information. Thank you very much.
