If there are updates available there will be a broken circlular arrow in the top right corner of the UI and “Update Software” will appear in the admin menu.

Where to see ?

When we do a stable release (Oram) we try to provide release notes identifying key changes. For the development branch (Vangelis) you have to watch the GitHub commits which may seem cryptic as they are often low-level coding changes. There are sometimes announcements here on the forum for changes we have put into Vangelis, but not everything.

You can look into the git commit’s history at the different repositories. For instance you can trace the changes into the zynthian UI here:
