USB flash media

I’ve read whatever i could understand here on the Forum and i’ve scanned the user guide, but i must resort to cry out for help
I can’t get Zynthian to use USB-sticks. Tried several. Is there a way in the GUI or the webconf to see if USB stick is recognized, a way to enable USB stick as data medium. Or should i go via SSH?

What are you trying to do with your USB stick? I assume you mean a USB memory/storage stick rather than some other kind of device.

By default zynthian should recognise and automount USB storage device and then use this as the default location to save audio and MIDI recordings. It should also be presented with the internal storage as an audio and MIDI playback source.

Thx for a very swift reply!
Yes memory/storage!
i got this from terminal:
(venv) root@zynthian:~# lsusb
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0951:1666 Kingston Technology DataTraveler 100 G3/G4/SE9 G2/50 Kyson
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

So it seems like its recognized (also mounted?)

I then save a snap to a new bank and pull out the stick and into either a WinPC og an Ubuntu to check the contents and there is nothing

My OS is fresh from yesterday and updated this morning!

Snapshots are stored to internal storage only. You can transfer snapshots between zynthian and computer using webconf.

MIDI and audio files can be stored on USB storage.

Aaah. I got it into my head that snaps was stored on USB as well, and i also thought that i’ve checked with recording.
It’s working then (just tested) and thanks for the help Riban

If you install a USB stick and record audio it will be placed on the USB stick but webconf capture doesn’t indicate it’s existence. It is accessible from gui but you have to go to the top of the directory tree to access it. There is a issue reported.

Thx. I read about that issue somewhere. It seems i have everything working as it should now. Looking forward to be able to see the stick in webconf!
