Hi, I made a diy Zynthian a while ago (just a rbpi4, touchscreen, keypad, and little behringer interface) and it’s been working great for what I needed.
Recently, the folks over at Ksoloti (who have more or less taken over the axoloti project) made a new firmware where an Axoloti or Ksoloti can be used as a USB Audio device. I installed it onto one of my Axolotis and when I plugged into the Zynthian and turned it on, it wouldn’t boot (audio/midi error message).
If I turn the Zynthian on and then plug the Axoloti in, it will show up with the lusb command in terminal, but won’t show up as a hot plug device.
If anyone has any ideas on how I could get this to work, thet would be amazing. My linux/terminal command knowledge is extremely limited.
Please try with Audio Generic USB in Webconf and un/plug the USB Audio only when powered off. This could work, but if the previously configured USB Audio differs too much fron the actually connected USB Audio, for example because bitrate or samples do not match, then Jack will throw errors, so please use conservative settings that fit all devices to be connected.
Or use Dummy as Audio device in Webconf. That should work as well and leave USB as completely hotplug capable.
A hotplug USB Audio device will be ADDED as slave to the existing device that has been configured in Webconf and that is sort of a master role in the Jack system.
