V1 encoders not working on buster Build

Hi,
I recently decided to update the zynthian os on my rapsberry 3 B V1 kit
I believe I’ve followed every suggestion I could find in the forum but I can’t get the encoders to work after selectin V1 kit. Wiring is correct, and it still works in the old gorgona sd
tried 2 different buster builds (2019-09-24 and 2020-05-25)

This is what the debug log shows

I’m a bit lost, I’ve read others got it to work, maybe I’m missing something

Cheers

What have you set the wiring parameters to? can you provide a screenshot of the advanced wiring screen?

@wyleu

Don’t ask me why… but everything seems to work today, I flashed the images again and both work as intended for now,
It’s quite exciting coming from a gorgona build having all these new engines and functionality available.
Latency is still a bit of an issue when combining with an external sequencer through usb midi, but I think a pi 4 could help with this
One thing that I miss is being able to assign more than one engine to the same midi channel

Thanks for the responses!

All i can say right now is that it should work. I just tested with my zynthian@home, that is an old v1 and it’s working perfectly with a Buster from 2020-03-03. I just updated to the last, and it’s still working with sequencer, etc.

I will try to test with a recent SD …

BTW, have you used the “kit v1” configuration option or you are using “custom kit” and selecting the hardware from the list?

regards,
Regards,

Everything working today, not sure what was the change, flashed both os versions and both worked!

That’s what cloning is for…

Thanks, I Didn’t know that was a feature and didn’t see it while trying it out earlier. Still need some time to work out the new features

You me both, it’s developing at a blistering pace, now perhaps we could interest you in a :face_with_monocle:

Hi Chris, just read your little wikipage; I already knew you had a way with words -and with terrorising innocent, often shy and fragile musicians- but when I saw the guy with the Zynthian monocle I knew we where all in for it!

I guess this would be the moment to quote Aldous Huxley but maybe it would best if we all try to hold a grip on things around here
