I have what I believe to be two identical systems - same hardware, same software loads. The mouse behaves normally on one (A) but on the other the left click does not select sub-menus (B). I have swapped the physical mice and sub-menus can not be selected on B regardless of mouse used. A works fine with either mouse. Is there a place I can look to see why the mouse behavior is different for the two systems?
Also - same problem (B) in VNC UI computer mouse is unable to select sub-menus…
Thanks,
Harry
What are the 2 systems, hardwarewise? Assuming they’re running Zynthian, would it be possible to try reproducing it with just Raspian?
Where is mouse behavior defined?
And to answer the question as posed, In various settings in Zynthian, both in webconf and the native UI, as well as the underlying source code of each. For example the CUIA settings in webconf, and the admin menu for the native GUI. and X-windows https://wiki.zynthian.org/index.php/Zynthian_GUI_start_up_walkthrou'
I was hoping that there was a configuration setting that might lead to the cause of this behavior. Since the mouse is not behaving even in VNC-UI I was assuming that it was some setting that affected mouse behavior throughout the Zynthian system. I was hoping there might be something in the UI Keyboard Binding that I had missed. I suppose I could create a Raspian sd card to test in the event that there is no easy-to-access non-source-code place to check. Thanks for the input.
Yeah, there certainly might be such a setting. I’m no expert. I’m wondering if some sort of accidental midi learn for the left mouse button might have happened.
I cannot think of a configuration or other cause of such an issue. Maybe you could describe in detail each hardware and software configuration and post a video / capture demonstrating the issue. I assume that the pointer can be moved around the screen by the mouse?
