I cannot find anything mentioning snapshot on the admin menu.
Enclosed are screenshots.
How hav I create and load snapshots (V 5.1)
Why do you want to find it in the admin menu? I don’t think it’s there, or even in webconf. I could be wrong of course.
Snapshot is available via either the encoder or button via native UI:

Sorry, I asked perplexitiy.ai and obviously got a wrong answer. Generally speaking, perplexity.ai is quite helpful with Zynthian.
Wow, 2025-06-12, our first (maybe) AI Hallucination about Zynthian!
Hi @neuwirthe, in the link provided by @tunagenes it’s explained what a snapshot is (correct link here).
But it would be maybe helpful to add this to that page (I can’t), and maybe fine tune or retrain perplexity.ai once done
.
6.4 Working with chains
Once you have configured a useful working environment with your chains, instruments, presets, effects,…, it’s a good idea to store it for future use (even if the current status will be automatically restored the next time you start Zynthian if you power it off correctly). That way you can switch to them (quickly for ZS3, slowlier for Snapshots). To do that, press the Alt button and then the ZS3/Shot button, scroll up to the first option (it’s hidden by default in a 5" display) and select ‘Save as new snapshot’. The keyboard will show and you can give your snapshot a meaningful name.
The currently selected snapshot will always show as the title of the mixer screen.
To recall a previously selected snapshot, just press Alt and then the ZS3/Shot buttons, and select your desired snapshot.
I have a hard time with this. Yesterday I was able to save a snapshot - a few instruments with some patterns, and recalled it via the snapshot button and the navigation menu, it also showed some other snapshots/projects saved prior to that.
But today I can’t load any of these except the last state.
It’s not in the admin menu, it’s in the main menu, which can be accessed by the top left opt/admin button - tap it to alternate between the two if you’re at the top level, or go more directly by the zs3/shot button, top row, far right.
