Hi all,
I’m new around here and I’m poking around. In Garageband, I can assign a piano sound to the keyboard and drum sounds to the pads in a M-Vave SMK25. How can I do this in Zynthian? Thanks.

You just need to find what channel the keys are using and what channel the pads are using. When you add a chain and you are on the screen for the midi channel press a key or hit a pad and it will highlight what channel it’s using. Use that to guide you on what channel to use if you want the pads or the keys. Does that make sense?
Welcome @synthdad. I hope you find much enjoyment from zynthian.
Each chain in zynthian listens on a MIDI channel so, as mentioned by @PatF, you simple assign the appropriate MIDI channel to the chain that you want to control, e.g. if your keyboard sends on channel 1 and your pads seems on channel 10, add an instrument chain with a piano assigned to channel 1 and add another instrument chain with percussion assigned to chain 10. Configure the MIDI input port as multitimbral from the chain context menu, MIDI inputs.
