ZS3 not being recalled after updating to latest staging

After reading the RTFM post, and reading the formidable manuals, which I have diligently done, I’m still stuck so I will ask for your gentle and kind help.

I have updated my old pre-summer oram version in my V4 zynthian to the latest and bravest staging commit. I can move to the different chains with the encoder and make sure that chains work as expected. But my ZS3 are not recalled properly. I can see the Program Change in the midi log but I don’t see any changes in the mixer view. Presets are not restored (i.e. loading a different soundfont in sfizz), active chains are not changed either, so it looks like it does not work.

The same happens if I go to the zs3 menu and load them from the zynthian UI, they don’t behave as expected (by me). I explain this because I have ruled out that it has something to do with the “MIDI-USB mapped by port” which in my case I’ve made sure it’s also disabled.

I have checked the active/multitimbral config, I have set the USB input device not to be multitmbral, I also don’t need different chaiins with the same midi channel, so the global Active midi channel is also disabled.

The only thing I need is that when I recall a ZS3 using a Program Change, presets are loaded and active chain is properly selected.

Any hints on what could be wrong?

Hi @pau !

First, you should download the latest SD image. Updating a pre-summer oram is unpredictible. These imagea were Alpha or Beta versions. We can accept any issue that is reproduced with latest images.

Second, you should test with staging or vangeiis to see if your issue is already fixed and simply awaiting to be deployed.

Third, if you really have am issue, we need all the context, including snapshots and steps to reproduce, observed behavior, expected behavior, etc

Ideally, opening a ticket in our tracking system is the right way.

Are the snapshots and zs3 created with Oram?

I have recreated the ZS3 as there are many new features that I like and wanted to use them.
For example choosing what is restored when you recall a ZS3, this is great!
