I’ve been (slowly) working on building a V3 kit and this has been my learn-to-electronics project. Alas, I have ruined my Zynscreen after a couple years of clumsy project ideas. I know it’s “old” now, but is there anywhere I can get a replacement? Or if that’s absolutely impossible, something I can use that’s close? I really liked the four buttons on the bottom of the board and I want to keep that functionality with the small form factor. That was the Zynthian’s greatest appeal to me all those years ago.

I’m sorry to say that we don’t have any spare Zynscreen v1.5 at zynthianlabs. The very few we had in stock have slowly gone along the latest years to replace broken ones and they are totally exhausted now.
I checked and i’ve 2 old protos from earlier versions without the 4 buttons. You could take the LCD or the display controller IC if this is what is broken, but it’s a hard way. Tell me if you want to try.

I do believe it is the LCD that I’ve broken, so a proto board may provide exactly what I need. I’d love to give that a try, thank you!
