Zynthian DIY with RPi5 8gb (vangelis) not booting or showing up in webconf

Hi! I have enjoyed playing around with zynthian Vangelis with a RPi5 8gb and screen. It has worked well until yesterday. I tried to boot, but screen stays black and there is no connection to webconf. I seem to remember that I ran an update 3 days ago (not the latest), but I think it worked fine right after. Now however it does not. I am quite unskilled with linux, but I am currently on a pc running 24.04 ubuntu. I am in need of detailed instructions to solve this.

I am using a laptop adapter as a USB power source.

Solved it by burning and installing a fresh image.

This smells like a SD corruption event. The SD-card could be damaged.
If you burned over the same SD card, it could repeat in the near future. Stay warned!

I understand. Is there anyway of limiting the chance of SD corruption?

Yes, perform a shutdown (power off) before you physically remove the power.

Ok. But sometimes seems physically removing USB power is the only way to reboot, the few times it freezes and seems to not connect through Webconf.

Usually, only the Zynthian app freezes (often caused by a less well behaved synth).

You can try logging in via SSH. Then type poweroff.

I tend to blacklist synths that cause this. If you regularly disconnect the power without shutting down the zynthian correctly, the question is not if the SD card gets corrupted, but when.
