Hello to All,
I did two snapshots today, with three Chanis. 1 Audio Chain , two instrument Chanis. I set MIDI Master Channel to “01” to load snap shots per midi ProgramChange. So far so good. BUT If I load a snapshot, the Whole Zynthian goes crazy when I start to play on the Keyboard. No, Sound but it jumps through menues, does anything, but no sound. Accept the Audio Chain is working properly. Tried to cycle power several times, but no change in behavior. Also tried to load some of the stored snapshots that came with the system - it´s the same.
One thing happened before this:
In the right upper corner, the green heart suddenly turned to a red trinangle with a “call sing” inside and it stopped working at this point, no idea what triggered this. After a power cycle it seemed to work OK again for the moment, but then it behaved like described above.
I hope you have any idea how to fix this.
I have a 5.1 Zynthian with ORAM
Greetings
Zast
Have you got anything happening on MIDI Channel 16?
It sounds like it might be receiving MIDI messages on channel sixteen that are being interpreted as CUIA MIDI control
Hi Zast.
Loading snapshots is very slow and not thought for live performances.
Please check ZS3 subsnapshots, they are lightweight, work fast and are very reliable, perfect for live performances.
Best
Pau
Hi, my post wouldn’t help you a lot. Because, as is, it’svhardbto tell: your problem descriptions lacks some further context infos for being well analysed.
these infos are the zss snapshot in question, the precise hardware and software setup (webconf home page provides most of the Zynthian setup) the additionnals midi gears connected and how (mode, Channel and so on)
No messages are sent on channel 16, but You are right. That were Master Key Actions. So I turned off Master Channel and the behavior is normal again.
But maybe it´s a bug that this happens. Both of my Keyboards I use send MIDI on CH1, nothing on CH16
Hi, You are right, my description was not very accurate. I think it´s due to the fact that I tried for too long time to understand what happend and got impatient as I wrote this Topic.
Hi Pau,
I know about this, I´m currently in a “finding” phase at the moment how to organize best to meet my needs. I also tried to make it with ZS3, but I had the feeling that the recall of a ZS3 is not always complete, or that not all the changes are stored completely. I´ll go deeper into this.
By the way: Is there a possibility to display the name of the current loaded ZS3 smoewhere on the screen?
Can you see the problem?
If you play a keyboard on the master channel then each key you play will trigger a CUIA, e.g. navigation, toggle record, select preset, etc. of you want to use master channel you need to assign it to a channel only used by the controlling device.
Yes I see
Thanks a lot!
