Just wondering if the Zynthian v5.1 kit is exclusively for Pi 5 and above? I noticed the wiki shows the v5 shows compatibility with Pi 4, of which i have a bunch laying around and I’m keen to give this thing a try!
Thanks in advance.

Hi @talondnb !
The v5.1 alucase is no compatible with Pi4, but we have a few older V5 alucases in stock. You can order normally a V5.1 kit and send an email with your order number so i can replace the alucase in your package.

Thanks for the reply! Now I’m wondering if the performance boost is worthwhile with the RPi5?
The Pi5 is a huge boost in CPU power. It’s 2-3 times more powerful than Pi4. Of course, it depends a lot of the use-case. Some engines like Pianoteq really take profit of this extra power and of course if you want to use the zynthian as a groovebox or plan to sequence several synth chains simultaneously, you should think of jumping to Pi5.
