I have tried to get both the LCD screen and HDM working at the same time but I couldn’t find a way to do it. In older topics it’s suggested that this is not possible in the current version. Perhaps @riban can shed some light on this.
In fact I couldn’t think of a use case where two screens were useful so I didn’t spend more time on it.
What I have done is make an easy way to switch between both displays. I made a separate topic about this:
Using HDMI as alternative control panel
This way you do not need extra drivers for KMS and you don’t need VNC. No extra system impact.
As you simply see exactly the same as on the LCD screen, AFAIK you can’t display the native GUI of the synths.
The only weird thing I saw is when you start XORG, (command line: startx ) the Patchage terminal is opened, with interesting schematics:
It looks suspiciously like the screen you see when displaying the GUIs in VNC so perhaps it’s somehow possible.
Maybe one of the wizards can help us here.
