Install on a pi400?

Hello, I have a pi400 just sitting here doing nothing but occasionally be used to play emulator games and play videos. Is there anything that I should be wary of if I attempt to install ZynthianOS on it?
I have a simple USB MIDI controller and a USB audio device, both class compliant. Utilizing a small 1080p HDMI monitor (and a mouse, obv) would this be an easy plug and play situation?

Hi @manysounds - a warm zynthian welcome to the forum.

The RPi400 has been discussed a few times (search the forum for references), for example here is a topic that includes links to tutorials. It is not an officially supported platform for zynthian but some users have had some success. I have a RPi 400 but have not tried running zynthian on it.

What can you tell me about your experience with that?

It’s not any different than other PIs. Installation was the same, no changes needed.

@Hans_JB I am having trouble getting it to boot at all. Did you use Belana Etcher? Windows or Mac? Initial boot wait time?

I had issues with everything else that was not raspberry pi imager on windows. Once i used it i was good. I would suggest raspberry pi imager and you have to wait maybe about a minute or two the first time for everything to work itself out.

Keep in mind and i hope you know that because this is not the official zynthian hardware, you will get an error and have to log on to zynthian to update configuration.
