Its official I'm an absolute fanatic for this box

Congratulations what an amazing piece work. So amazingly well done.
Can’t wait to port my plugin onto this.

So big question, how do I do a complete backup cause I’m going to be silly and put openclaw or possibly deerflow on it cause I always wanted to tell a synth to pimp itself out with the best sounds, but this could go terribly wrong. I suppose just dd the sd card onto an image file and have at it, right

I’m powering my fatar keyboard with this over usb, is that dumb? (lightning strike fried fatar’s wall wart last weekend) could this stress the unit out? literally found this unit searching for an acceptable rompler to pair with my fatar. it was zynthian or a jv1010, think I made the right choice.

is there something available that makes it sync tempo to incoming audio?

I thoroughly agree Zynthian’s amazing. Welcome, what does your plugin do?

Most complete backup is as you said, but Zynthian has a backup facility you access via webconf, see the wiki if you need more info on webconf. This lets you backup your settings, patterns, etc,

you mean like this?

made this when I discovered (at least as far as I could tell) that nobody had ever implemented a proper chord inversion algo

yeah looking for a tempo locker that works in realtime based on audio in signal

currently installing https://hermes-agent.nousresearch.com on my zynthian and will instruct to trick the box out maximally, should be interesting.

I started on a hardware version

but I think will go much smoother on zynthian, fewer wheels to reinvent

Hermes Agent living inside my zynthian proving insanely useful, highly recommend.

Will you give an explanation of how you are using Hermes and what benefits it gives you? I don’t quite understand from your brief description and the referenced website what you are doing with it.

I ran the install script inside a terminal inside Zynthian and just started chatting with it and describing what I’d like to have happen. It quickly ported my JUCE plugin and a realtime Arduino version I had been developing onto Zynthian, it set my Zynthian up as an airplay receiver and as a usb gadget so it works as an audio device for my Mac. I’ve really barely had anytime to play with the Zynthian as life has been insanely busy, 2026 has been a nonstop sprint for me. So to get all of that done with almost no time spent is a delight.. It also research the best sound fonts available on the internet, pulled them and installed. It built a realtime bpm detector based on incoming audio and a semi functional chord detector based on audio input. I really wish I had a solid block of time to really dig in more, but all for those things I mention would have personally taken me at least a day of work if I was doing myself. And its pretty wild to have the thing improve itself will I’m just kind playing sound on it.

Really looking forward to having a good solid block of time to do more with it. Today I’ll ask it to mess with the UI colors etc and give me a bunch of skins and system to switch between them.
