Hi!
The simplest way to launch audio clips, loops, in zynthian in an ableton live style? I tested zynsampler but it’s not exactly what I’m searching, like if I choose a wav than the audio clip became the preset of the sampler and then in zynpad the entire column is the same wav.
Thanks
Nothing?
Maybe I have to import a patch from pure data to do the work
I’m sure it’s been talked about. Did you check the wiki or search the forum?
There is a convoluted way to do this but it isn’t pretty and is suboptimal. I have described it in the past so look around the forum to see if you can find it. (I am too busy right now to describe it again.)
We did discuss the idea before (a few times) like here. We are planning functionality like this in the future (hopefully next development sprint).
Hi @sagga !!
Please, could you explain, with detail, the workflow you would like to have? I’m really interested in implementing this kind of functionality in zynthian.
Thanks
Sure @jofemodo .
I control my zynthian with an akai apc key 25, so I’ve a good number of pads to, in theory, “remix” or play a track live. I would like to have for each pad a different steam/sample and the ability to choose the looping. Touch the pad the audio clip starts, retouch the pad it stops, touch the row pad and all the row plays and stops. It would be nice also if i can choose if the clip it stops immediately after retouch or at the end of the clip or after a choosen number of beats or bars.
Ableton or M8 are some example.
For what i understand the options more similar on zynthian right now are: linuxsampler, but it reads audio like presets so all the column is the same steam and i have to set the lenght of the note or of the sequence without “seeing” the audio, and all the audio have different lenghts etc; create myself a sample player instrument to use with sf2/3/z, and i tried but the result it’s a bit convoluted and have some of the same issues of linuxsampler; modify some existing patch for pure data that do this work, often with a launchpad, and bring it in zynthian. i don’t know if i can do it but it seems fun
