Odin 2 LV2 Synth

The developers responded regarding the polyphony restriction. they say they won’t implement this function, but we can change it ourselves from the code.

how many polyphony voices do we want simultaneously?
4, 6, 8? we have to test how much the Zynthian can take.

We should implement a dynamic control if possible and make a PR upstream. Perhaps we can change their mind with good code and some arguments

Such nonsense with four instances of ODIN2. All at once controlled from the Torso T-1 sequencer (it’s really a super toy).

Hi odin lovers!

I just pushed odin2 in oram. If you didn’t note it, it was missing until today. As i love it, i finally feel the emptyness in some of my jam sessions. BTW, it works incredible fine in my Pi5 prototype. Not easy to get xruns. It’s a true workhorse. Super powerful!!

Enjoy!

Hello to odin fans !
Better late, then never - I have discovered this beautiful and powerful synth among our engines. Totally stunned with it. Here I have used the Alien Atmo preset (heavilly tweaked) from Atmospheres and played some phrases on bansuri flute. By some occasion MaGigaverb wasn’t recorded, so I have added another in the aftermix (Ambient reverb vst) but it was sounding very close to this sample. Fade is original - this is how this preset starts.

Thank you for everyone involved in bringing this synth into our zynthian universe.

p.s. After a long break I am working on Rpi5 prototype with absolutely stunning zynadac audio (this sample was recorded via this card) that @jofemodo have kindly sent me long ago… Better late then never

Gorgeous!

Mind you the sudden fade out unsettled two listening earth mothers and depressed the crystal they were observing. . .

Well - no fade out at the end is the hard reality that sometimes suddenly comes. Not all things end with a fade out… But I will try to be more carefull with the frigile attention of the audience (and their crystals) next time and implement a polite ending if necessary

I’d have wrapped it up with the “Have-a-banana” ending.
