After some weeks in Indonesia and spending some time listening “gamelan” music, i also realized this simple fact. Pythagoras lived too deep in the Plato’s cave :grin:

I couldn’t resist this topic. These graphs bear a close resemblance to Helmholtz’s graph of calculated consonance as well as older limited surveys. I’ll check to see if the new results change my calculations of the total consonance of individual scales. I’m betting that they won’t (very much).
