Such ideas have been here before. I can recommend this: program each keyboard to send key signals according to your Keyboard Binding in zynthian webconf (http://zynthian.local/ui-keybind ) and connect them to zynthian.

I’m working on a USB HID keyboard based upon 2 macro keypads ch75x github The keybindings seem to work fairly well, but it’s still a work in progress. The encoders and encoder buttons are all keypresses, and as @riban mentioned the long presses work as expected.

Here’s my design next to a v5 printout for comparison. I’m using mine as external components on a headless zynth, with a portable HDMI display to build out a full system using a Geekwork DACPi case

Basic idea: Hardware controller for one or more Zynthian synths. To assess the life of capability based on raspberry pi zero, special keyboards and OSC CUIA communication. Therefore, the connection is realized only and only using the network. In the first phase, I resigned myself to bold and long pressing of the buttons. Only simple short presses are implemented.
