Zynth club. .. There's just one rule in Zynth club

We came, we saw, we played conkers.

Being late to the game I probably missed most of the good stuff and having stepped out briefly I returned to find a note saying that everyone had gone to the pub together so I should do the washing-up and turn out the lights on my way out!

Some or all of this may have been mentioned:

  • A home-made guitar with 2 strings and action that was reminicent of a suspension bridge - but super cool!
  • MIDI controllers you wear on your wrist (or place on top of the Zynthian if BLE radio strength is an issue).
  • The advantages to living in Europe (over barren locations that give Mad Max a home).
  • RISC-V progress.
  • More colours and false icons.
  • Something about monster trucks?
  • Korg have been busy ahead of NAMM including releasing the Micro Korg 2.
  • I just don’t know what this is!

It’s a mechanism that moves proteins within your body, by literally walking along flbres.

It was an example of something that made me happy.

However, according to this video, and common sense, the molecular-cell animations, although fun and interesting, are not realistic:
How NOT To Think About Cells

That makes me unhappy…

You, don’t want to make me unhappy…

Took me so long to remember where I saw this I forgot why I mentioned it. Something to do with midi to audio, low latency, edge computing. MATRIXSYNTH: MIND Music Labs Builds Custom Fishman Guitar Synth w/ Arturia’s Prophet V for MUSE

I tell people I use “vi”, not this newfangled “vim”. (In reality I have probably been using ‘vim’ for a few decades but ‘vi’ is what I learned.) I actually find nano annoying but each to their own… Now to find a particularly comfortable pair of socks for my day in the dungeon. :socks:

There are those who learnt on edlin…

Nano is ok for me … for small changes

Real coders don’t need an editor. Real coders get it right first time.

I guess real coders just imagine what they want and it materialises as code in their machine. No wait - that is users!

only if you follow the protocol

When did the pro go to col?

Right, ok, just to clarify… This is the protocol:-

  1. someone says “it’s about time” or words to that effect.
  2. I respond with “only if you follow the protocol”
  3. someone ignores the protocol and attempts distraction
  4. someone completes the protocol with a complete set of updated protocol statements to remind everyone what the protocol is
  5. someone does the right thing and suggests a universally accepted time and date in a well known and timezone friendly notation.
  6. the portal opens.

I’m sure this system can be optimised but it’s what we got, it’s how we do it, and if you wanna change it, we have to first follow it and then figure out changes when we meet.
