I want to know how zynface_v5 is connected. Does it need to be connected to Zynaptik-3? Can Zynaptik-3 be connected to zynthian v5? I noticed there is a v5_control_rack version. How are they connected?
Welcome back @798714773 , we’ve missed your digits.
There was a related question recently asked in another topic, and the answer was it’s a EuroRack version of V5. Here’s the topic, but it did not involve zynface_v5 or Zynaptik-3. I don’t know for certain the answer to your question on whether zynface_v5 needs to be connected to Zynaptik-3, but I think it does, or at least that’s the normal way it works.
The “zynface V5” is an eurorack module prototype and it’s designed to be built at home without SMD soldering. For the DAC & ADC, you must buy separately the right modules from aliexpress or another place:
ADS1115 module:
MCP4728 module:
I just checked and these 2 module are pin-compatible. Please, verify pin-compatibility before buying any other module. There are some that has SCL/SDA reversed.
No need for the zynaptik module. Once built, the “zynface V5” module must be connected directly to the V5 control board. There is a specific 6-pin connector for this (EXT-1).
I should have correctly connected the v5 and zynface. How should I configure it on the webpage? What should I select for Wiring Layout and Customization Profile? I couldn’t find where to set the zynface in and out—I only see Zynaptik Analog Input and Zynaptik Analog Output. Please help me. Thank you.
I noticed this article. Is the current latest version having this issue? I’ve already read the voltage input from the ads1115 through the command line, but I feel that zynthian hasn’t converted it into MIDI notes. I’m not seeing any MIDI messages. Or do I need to configure some settings?
