A subdued and intimate affair last night with contributions from UK and Germany. Shame that @Axeman chose Microsoft to (fail to) deliver his technology :yum:. Some of the following may have been discussed:

  • Alternative SSH clients
  • Fermentation control and monitoring
  • Where to add patterns to songs
  • How to route and mix audio feeds with the computer (and how it is easier with Linux)
  • How to get Zynthian running on RPi 4 (it’s easy)
  • What constitutes audio quality and how much does it matter?
  • What vegetables should you pickle?

There was some fanboi mutterings about how “amazing” iPads are and how android has been “left behind” with regards to audio too.

Still, that was yesterday. Today is different.

Once again, I wasn’t be able to be there with you last evening (family affairs …)
I will try to organize myself a bit better for the next Zynth club.
Cheers

Ah yes! I told the group about Audio Evolution, an excellent DAW for Android that is quite cheap and supports low latency USB audio devices. I have been a fan for many years.

Apologies I was driving back from the wilds of Herefordshire . . .

Were you testing your eyesight?

To follow the german thread: scheiße

But I finally found what the problem was. And the culprit is Chrome, not Microsoft. Audio and video were working well, but for whatever reason Chrome was not asking the system to get access to them.
I wrote for my company a WebRTC service so I used my diag pages to do some tests, and I finally found that Chrome was not working at all. A quick test with Edge confirmed that.
But it was late and today I had to be at work very early to setup a control room.
After a full reinstall, now even Chrome seems to work.

When is the next one, next Sunday? I may want to join

A :face_with_monocle: with Broccoli, …

Dispenses a Lop Sided Raven to get the cooks warming the pot. . . .

I don’t think I didn’t enjoy the undertones of the eyesight joke, it works on so many levels

DM @riban for the deets, it’s usually 19:00 UTC each Sunday.

Sorry - I was waiting for someone to show some interest in having club this week but there hasn’t been much. If you want to meet up this week then take the time to click on the day that you would prefer. Click as many days as you want but we will do it on just one day with most votes. Voting closes at 15:00 UTC today (to give time to arrange for tonight if that is the winner). Votes after this time won’t be counted but you may still be charged for the call. Get the account holder’s permission before voting .

A quiet night in amongst just a few of our closest friends… Much was discussed including:

  • What to do with Raspberry Pi Mk 1
  • What would your avatar be?
  • How touchy touch feely feely should a Zynth be?
  • Was I born in 1698?
  • Where is the volume control in Zynth engine xxx?
  • Bare metal minisynth
  • When will @Baggypants finish his radio engine?
  • When will @MrBroccoli start his SooperLooper engine?
  • What junk can @ronsum fill his basement with from the $5 shop?
  • How hot is 30C°? (86°F)
  • How and when to grow vegetables
  • What price would you pay for a Yamaha DJX and is it a tool or a toy?

Certainly a different way to spend a Monday evening / afternoon.

Nobody seemed to be around…

It was Monday at 8pm BST. We weren’t (all) hiding from you!!!

I need someone to review my pull request for mplayer radio engine.
